I wish everyone a happy beginning in 2021! Since the previous Buffbunny Guide to Launch, I've been thinking about ways to create additional content on behalf of Crunch's Fitness Fashion at a greater frequency speed! This blog is a blog of passion, rather than a full-time job, which means it can be difficult to balance at times, but I am so so appreciative of everyone who finds my recommendations/reviews useful!
Anyhow! Without further delay now let's get into the main part of this article! The Kamo Fitness Serenity Leggings! If you're not already aware of it, Kamo Fitness, one of my most loved, inexpensive activewear brands, recently held an unintentional launch of their Serenity Leggings, which is new in fabric and design (You should be following my FB page for announcements of the launch and sale announcements)! Kamo Fitness generously sent me their latest products to test to you all and, of course, I'm here to provide you all the in-depth information of measurements, measurements, and much more!
Apart from the brand new Serenity Leggings, they've updated their Ellyn High Neck Crop Tank in Black (Amazon, Kamo Fitness) and Ellyn Crop (Amazon, Kamo Fitness) and Kaya Leggings in a gorgeous Tea Leaf Green (Amazon, Kamo Fitness), all of which I've reviewed previously when I reviewed their latest launch. Now they're in new colors!

The Ellyn High Neck Crop Tank is by far my top of choice lately, and I would definitely recommend it in black! It's a must-have piece! I personally bought an extra one the moment the site opened :)
Serenity Leggings Review (Kamo Fitness, Amazon)
It was my choice to create one quick "tl'dr" section because I am aware that I get too detailed in my reviews! Here's a brief overview of the review, but I strongly recommend reading the entire review.
Fabric? - more brushed/performance/thicker version of the Solid Ellyn Leggings, but not as dense as the Tie Dye Ellyns
Sizing? True to size for those who don't enjoy tight waistbands because of the tapered shape of the waist. However, should you prefer a more streamlined shape, then sizing down could be possible! I have a little excess fabric around my ankles and knees to accommodate my own (my measurements are listed below)
Squatproofness? It is definitely squatproof, however it shows underwear lines
Booty Seam? It has the V convexing (5.75" drop) however, it's not nearly as long as Solid Ellyns. However, it's more substantial that the Kaya Leggings
The Serenity leggings are made of 75% nylon, 25 percent Spandex and no front seams! I'd say these are my absolute favorite fabric formula of Kamo Fitness so far. It is stretchy like those Solid Ellyn Leggings, however it is a little more dense and is a perfect middle between Solid Ellyns that are soft and slippery as well as the Tie Dye Ellyns which are more dense and more elastic. I'd also add that Serenity Leggings are more comfortable that the Tie Dye ones, yet they are a brushed fabric. They can pick up hair, lint and fuzzy fairly easily, because of their nature as being a brushed fabric. So beware! Also, I noticed that they were somewhat loose around my ankles and knees as you can see from the images. My measurements are as follows:
If you're in the middle the size medium or would prefer more of a compressive fitting, I would suggest taking a smaller size. But I'd like to think that it was a true size for me as I didn't want my waist not to feel too snug because Kamo Fitness has that lovely belt that is snatched, but I'm sure I could have gotten an XS, which could have eliminated some of the excess fabric.
Regarding the lack of a front seam gusset, they used the same Gusset crotch like the Kaya leggings. I was not a problem with my camel-toe, even though I was sure to pull them up. I did experience a small amount in the way of my waistband sliding about an inch or so after I finished my workout. Some sliding does not make me feel uncomfortable, but I'm thinking of ordering an XS in order to test the fit and see if it's more comfortable!
I was particularly interested in the squat-proofness and durability of the Forget Me Not color, since it's an incredibly light shade and I was a bit worried that they wouldn't be squat proof but they were squat-proof! There are definitely lines in your underwear if you're wearing seamless or thongs however. Fudge is also squat proof! I have all my Kamo Fitness leggings that I own (The December releases, and the black tie-dye to be Squat-proof!)
If you're familiar with my reviews will also know that I enjoy numbers and being meticulous about my reviews, which is why I always take measurements of the products I am reviewing! This isn't changing and here are the hard, cold numbers!
Then, the reason why measurements are necessary to measure, it's to enable us to evaluate! As I said before that this fabric Serenity Leggings are heavier, more durable variant of Solid Ellyn Leggings and are also less brushed and compressive as the tie dye Ellyn's and totally different from the smooth feeling of Kaya Leggings. But it's not the only thing that differs!
The Ellyn leggings are the most deep V seam on the booty of all Kamo Fitness' leggings. They feature the 6.5" V seam, whereas the Kaya has a 5" inseam. The Serenity leggings come with the 5.75" drop, putting it at a happy medium! I personally found this booty contour the most flattering of all the Kamo Fitness leggings, as my booty isn't always in the peachiest condition where the 6.5" drop of the Ellyn leggings would be most attractive.
To give you a visual representation for a visual comparison, here's a photo of the different Kamo Fitness Leggings side by side! I've added straight lines that begin at to the top of the V, to provide some perspective.
The waistbands on the Serenity leggings and the Ellyn legs are different. the Serenity leggings run a little bigger that the Ellyn leggings that are identical in size. That's why I was in a position to reduce the size of the Serenity leggings as opposed to. those of the Ellyn. The waistband is approximately .25" inches around the area where the Serenity leggings are slightly larger than the Ellyn as you'll observe in the image below. The waistband isn't as wide as it does!
I am in love with, love, the love! The new Serenity Leggings. This fabric is the ideal combination of performance and is comfortable enough to wear for daily use. The fit is pleasing on the boot and no cameltoe or leggings that squat proof are not just cute, but also practical too!
